From IB teachers and Coordinators to recent IB graduates, the EIB team draws together insights and experience with every aspect of the IB, and each member of our team plays an integral role in keeping us the foremost team of IB educators internationally. Spread between the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy and Singapore, we work closely together to share, collaborate, support and educate.

Tim Hoffmann
Director & Founder
Tim is the Director & Founder of Elite IB Tutors, and firmly of the belief that the International Baccalaureate’s educational ethos and structure makes it the foremost school-leaving qualification worldwide.

Tim completed the IB at Antwerp International School in 2005 obtaining 44 points and went on to obtain an MEng from St Edmund Hall, Oxford University in 2009. He has been tutoring IBDP & MYP candidates since 2006, and started Elite IB in 2010.
In his role as Director of EIB, Tim assists students, schools, tutors and other educational organisations in both growing and understanding the best method of teaching and implementing the IB - both in the UK and abroad.
Alongside his IB-focused work, Tim works hard to broaden the understanding of the IB in relation to university admissions, particularly UCAS. He regularly guides students, families and indeed schools in demystifying the process and supporting them every step of the way. It is Tim’s mission to make EIB a global reference point for IB educators across the globe.
Sam Romeo
Head of Tuition
As Head of Tuition, Sam is responsible for directing our Tuition Management teams internationally, overseeing the tuition we offer the IB students, families, and schools, as well as helping maintain our position as the foremost team of IB educators internationally.

With EIB since 2015, Sam understands the challenges and opportunities the IB offers students. Having supported countless IB students in various roles at EIB, as well as being a tutor himself, he has become an authoritative and reliable source of information on the IB for families, from School and Supject Selection to UK university applications in History, History of Art, Classics, and related courses.
Sam read History at King’s College, London, where he was the co-chair of the History Society and recipient of the Worshipful Company of Bowyers Prize for post-graduate study. He was awarded his MA Medieval & Renaissance History from University College London (UCL) with Distinction and a place on the Dean's List.
Isabelle Arusilor
Tuition Manager, Switzerland
Isabelle coordinates the tuition support for students and families under EIB's Switzerland branch.

Isabelle completed her IBDP at the International School of Nice in France where she studied Higher Level French Language and Literature, English B, Visual Arts as well as Standard Level Mathematics, Biology and Psychology.
After completing the IB, Isabelle studied at University College London achieving a first class Bachelor of Science in Architectural & Interdisciplinary Studies.

Francis Barry
Head of Courses & Events
Fran directs all of EIB's Revision Courses, Tuition Programmes, and events. Offering the support of tutors at every key stage of the IB either in-person in countries all over the world on online, building on our dace of experience delivering online IB tuition.

Frances completed the IB in 2012, scoring 41 points, as part of the first cohort of female students to attend King’s College School, Wimbledon. Her choice of HL subjects reflect her diverse interests and skills: having taken HL English Literature, Chemistry, and Fine Art.
Through the IB Frances discovered her passion for History of Art, which she went on to read at St Peter’s College Oxford. After graduating, Frances completed her PGCert in primary education while working full-time as a busy Year 2 teacher through Teach First, and was awarded Qualified Teacher Status in 2018.
Frances brings her experience as an IB student and her knowledge of the education system from a teacher’s perspective to her role as courses and events manager, keen to tailor our courses to meet the needs of students and in response to the changing demands of the IB curriculum.
Lawrence Lilley
Tuition Manager, UK & Global
Lawrence is the first point of contact for students and families seeking tuition in their IB subjects. His knowledge of our tutoring team helps ensure each students gets just the tutor they need.

Lawrence completed his IBDP at Bali International School in Indonesia, where he studied Higher Level History, English Literature and Biology, alongside Standard Level Economics, Maths and French.
He wrote his Extended Essay in Environmental Systems and Societies about Indonesian deforestation, and graduated with a BSc International Development and the Environment from the University of East Anglia (UEA).
With his keen interest in global issues and education, he joined Elite IB Tutors in 2018 to help students in the UK and abroad achieve their full potential via bespoke support.
Aaron is EIB's Tuition Manager in the Netherlands, working to meet all client's tutoring requirements there. Once an EIB tutor himself, he joined the team with an understanding of the positive impact EIB tuition can have on each student.

Aaron spent over two years helping students through Chemistry modules in the IB and developed a deep love of teaching in the process. He continues to tutor Chemistry in the Netherlands.
After completing the IB in The Hague, he moved to attend the University of Edinburgh, ultimately achieving a first-class Masters in Medicinal Chemistry. Returning to the Netherlands with EIB allows Aaron to utilise both his lived experience in Holland and the UK, and his deep knowledge of the IB and UCAS.
Angelo is EIB's most recent addition to our global Tuition Management operation, supporting students and families in South East Asia from EIB's Singapore base.

Angelo comes to EIB following his graduation from School Of The Arts, Singapore. As an IB Diploma graduate, he has a a passion for connecting with people and seeks to emulate the IB values instilled in him, bringing great energy and compassion to his role in the tuition management team.
Angelo firmly believes in the programme’s principles and understands its challenges, seeking to share his experiences and provide bespoke support for families and students alike.
As a successful applicant to EIB's rolling Internship programme Nora has joined both the Tuition Management and Admissions Teams to support the important work we do for IB students, families and schools.

Nora comes to EIB following receipt of her Specialised Maturity Certificate in Social Work at a Swiss secondary school. After this point, Nora gained invaluable experience working as an intern in different organisations. Earlier in2020, Nora completed her training as an Office Management Assistant while working at a solicitor’s office.
Regina Arnold
Head of People
As our Head of People, Regina is responsible for the employee life-cycle and people development at Elite IB. Regina is here to support the international team and ensure their employee experience is a positive one.

Regina has a BA(Hons) degree in European Studies and Languages (Spanish and Italian) from the University of Bath and an MA with Merit in Human Resources from the University of Greenwich. Regina's Master's dissertation focused on gender disparities within flexible working.
After 7 years working in HR with companies like Bloomberg and Amazon, Regina brings with them a host of experiences ranging from employee well-being to HR operations.

Hannah Lockett
Operations Intern
Hannah joins us as our Operations Intern, supporting our Head of Courses in delivering our Revision Courses and Tuition Programmes to EIB students around the world.

She joined EIB after graduating with a first-class MA (Hons) Spanish and Business degree from the University of Edinburgh. During her third year, she gained valuable experience working in Argentina as a Marketing and Operations intern at an international publishing company. At EIB, she will now be working in a supporting role for events and courses.
